We are thrilled to share some exciting news: Sherry Chris is joining The Helm’s advisory board. If you know anything about the real estate world, you’ve likely heard her name. Sherry is a true industry icon, and we couldn’t be more honored to have her guidance and expertise.

You may have seen the recent announcement of her appointment as Special Advisor to the CEO of the National Association of REALTORS®. In that role, Sherry will focus on strengthening relationships between NAR and the country’s largest real estate brands. We’re incredibly fortunate that she’s also chosen to lend her voice and insights to our team.

Sherry comes to us after 18 years with Anywhere Real Estate Inc., where she most recently served as Executive Advisor. Before that, she led Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate and ERA Real Estate as CEO and served as COO at Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Simply put, she knows the industry from every angle.

On top of her executive credentials, Sherry has been deeply involved with several real estate organizations that shape the future of our industry. She’s served as board chair of NAR’s Real Estate Services Advisory Group and was the first female board chair of The Realty Alliance. She’s also a founding corporate member of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, a member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America, and a former board member of its education foundation.

Her list of accolades is lengthy for good reason. Among them, she’s been inducted into the RISMedia Newsmakers Hall of Fame and regularly ranks on Inman’s 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders list. You’ll also see her name in the Swanepoel Power 200, HousingWire Women of Influence, and a host of other industry recognitions.

Beyond all these achievements, Sherry is a proud graduate of the University of Western Ontario, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She then went on to earn an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.

We couldn’t be more excited about the depth of knowledge, relationships, and vision she brings to our advisory board. Her passion for real estate and her track record of building meaningful partnerships will help us continue to grow and innovate.
