Elizabeth Convery is an entrepreneur, Navy wife, mother, and expert in the residential real estate industry. She embodies the principles of hospitality, making helping others a central part of her lifestyle.
Elizabeth is passionate about empowering women to design the lives they want and firmly believes that women are stronger together than apart. She leads through education, sharing her knowledge through writing, speaking, and teaching. As a coach and mentor, she helps top real estate agents, with a special focus on guiding women in the early stages of their careers to build six-figure businesses that reflect their values and champion their visions of success.
At 40, Elizabeth launched her coaching company, Elizabeth Convery LLC, to further her mission of helping women grow and thrive within the industry in community with others. Her signature program, The Confident Agent: A Foundation for Growth and Success for Women in Real Estate, empowers women to advance their careers confidently, transform their mindsets, and grow their incomes. Drawing on her own experience, Elizabeth believes in holistic coaching, recognizing that how women feel about themselves influences how they show up in every role they undertake.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Elizabeth began her career in commercial real estate. Inspired by her previous work selling luxury hotels, she founded VERY Real Estate in 2013, a boutique residential real estate firm, to offer clients an exceptional experience for the largest transaction of their lives. In 2019, VERY became the first independent brokerage in Philadelphia to partner with Compass RE, a leader in real estate technology. This partnership elevated its service-oriented model and streamlined the property search process for clients. The news made the cover of Inman.
Elizabeth manages and coaches a 10-person, mostly-female team, concentrating on business development and client service. She successfully transitioned out of day-to-day real estate sales to manage her family’s dynamic schedule while navigating military life with two young children. Her team consistently ranks among the WSJ RealTrends top 1.5% of real estate agents in the country. She is also proud that VERY is among the 3% of female-owned businesses to generate $1 million or more in annual revenue.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.
She and her husband, Chip, live in Washington, D.C., with their 5-year-old son, Jack, and 2-year-old daughter, Catherine. Elizabeth embodies the phrase “woman for women,” always striving to inspire women to overcome their fears and take the next step—whether in their careers or personal lives.
